What are the minimum credit points to be earned per year?

30 credits per year.

How many credits points will I have to earn in order to be awarded the fellowship?

150 credit points.

Where will I get a listing of the courses available?

The entire course listing and calendar events for the whole year are available on the CODE website.

What are the white, silver, gold and platinum certificate / cards?

The white, silver, gold and platinum cards are awarded after the dental professionals completes 30, 60, 90 and 120 credits respectively. They signify the completion of the different levels of CODE prior to obtaining the fellowship.

How can I earn credits from home?

You can earn credits at home in the following manner:

  • For Self Instructional Material (Print / Online).
  • On successful completion of assessment, credit hours equivalent to study time are allocated. CODE credits are also allocated for self instruction from journals (eg: JIDA, Clinical Dentisry).
  • Credit is allocated to four articles in each issue of the Journal of the regulatory Board as CODE vehicle with questions / online test form.
  • If 3 out of 4 questions are correctly answered per article CODE Credits of 0.5 hours per article and a maximum total of 2 credit points for each issue are awarded.
  • CODE points also allocated for original publications in Peer Reviewed Journals and for writing text books.
  • 3 Credit hours for First Author.
  • 1 Credit Hours for Subsidiary Author.

Is it compulsory by law for me to attend CODE programmes?

It is internationally accepted norm that dentists must complete certain requisite hours. Therefore IDA following international requirements has set up an easily accessible and affordable CODE programmes. It is the ethical and moral responsibility of dentists to ensure that they are abreast with all skills and knowledge to provide optimal service to the public.

How can I register as a speaker?

You can visit register as a speaker section of the website and provide your details. The ACODE Governing board will then review your application and revert back to you.
